Who’s Been Naughty & Who’s Been Nice?

It is only natural that at this time of year we look back and think about what worked well, and what could be improved. It is also a good time to think about your customers. Who were your Best Buyers, and why were they your Best Buyers?

  • Did they buy your premium product?
  • Did they buy more often?
  • Have they been with you the longest?

What were the common characteristics of these Best Buyers? Were they from a particular industry niche? Are they from a particular demographic base? How did they hear about you?

When you understand who your Best Buyers are, you can take special care of them. There is no rule that says you need to treat all your customers the same way. Who do you think gets the complimentary upgrades at Qantas? Their Platinum Frequent Flyers.

Providing programs like this almost locks Best Buyers into the business as it takes time to establish that relationship with other suppliers.

Christmas is an obvious time to recognise your Best Buyers. It is not too late to make up you list of who’s been Nice.
